Curated by Steve Lu, Asian Media Access, the " The Best Asian TelevisionCommercials" has a wealth of collection of the best and funniest Asian TV ads from all over Asia, ranged from Australia, China, Hong Kong, India,Japan, Korean, Thailand, and Turkey, and from different industries such as insurance & banking institutions, beverages & drinks, cars, restaurants & food items, beauty products, airlines, newspapers, clothing, etc.

Many commercials use satire to make jokes about popular cultures, for example,using Japanese scary movie technique to sell deeply discounted merchandisethat will "SHOCK" you.

With a "Appreciate Little Things Come in Life"slogan, the beer commercial featured people rejoicing on the street just forgetting a parking spot, or getting the last crab leg, or even just because it is a Friday.

The best one goes to Turkey's bank commercial that used people to form various shapes and objects of expensive jewelry and gifts. The creativity and the quality of the commercials will for sure to win many "Ahhhhhhh" and "Haaaaaaa" from audience.

Arts Discussed At The Upcoming Hawthorne Huddle!

Please join us at the Hawthorne Huddle on Thursday, April 3rd, when we will hear from a number of North Side arts leaders about the impact of their work on the community in terms of economic development, housing and academic achievement.

We hope participants will leave enlightened on the possibilities of what The Arts are on the North Side and new ways to support these efforts.

The Hawthorne Huddle will be held from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. in the Multipurpose Room at Farview Park, located at 621 29th Avenue North. A continental breakfast will be available at 7:15 a.m. We hope you can attend and participate in the discussion!

Thursdays, December 13 & 20, 6 -- 9 pm
Combining several elements of book arts, this workshop offers a taste of letterpress printing and book binding in a lined, hardbound journal project. Students will use transparent white ink to print muted lines on paper later to be used as a text block. Each student will also design and print a unique pressure print to personalize the book cover. This workshop is a great introduction to MCBA studios with a solid, but non-intimidating project. $90 ($80 members) and $15 supply fee. Instructor: Allison Chapman. Register for this workshop
